Bursa is pleased to announce that the percentage public shareholding of the Company as at 31 December 2006 is 50.31% representing 261,437,162 ordinary shares of RM0.50 each ("Bursa Shares") in the hands of 17,733 public shareholders holding not less than 100 Bursa Shares each in accordance with the definition of "public" under Paragraph 1.01 of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities LR").
With that, Bursa is in compliance with Paragraph 8.15(1) of Bursa Securities LR which provides that "a listed issuer must ensure that at least 25% of its total listed shares are in the hands of a minimum of 1,000 public shareholders holding not less than 100 shares each".
