Reference is made to the announcement dated 18 September 2019, in relation to the Acquisition. All terms used herein shall have the same meaning as those defined in the said announcement unless stated otherwise.

The Board of Directors of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”) wishes to announce that the Acquisition has been completed on 6 December 2019.

On the same date, Bursa Malaysia paid a final sum of RM164,653,000 being the total for the Put Option Price of RM162,471,000 and the Additional Sum of RM2,182,000 to CME Group Strategic Investments LLC through CME Group Inc for the acquisition of remaining 25% equity interest in Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (“Bursa Derivatives”).

Following the completion of the Acquisition, Bursa Derivatives becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia.
